FPBA Inclusivity Fund Grants
The FPBA has established a fund intended to help support the work and activities of artists and printers active in the field of fine press printing and book arts.
Grant Amount
$500 USD
Recipients who are not yet members of the FPBA will also receive a complimentary one-year membership to the association.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants will identify as members of diverse racial or ethnic communities. Individuals coming from other groups who, historically, have been less visible in the fine press and book arts community are also encouraged to apply (this could include those who identify as LGBTQ+, those who come from low-income backgrounds, and/or individuals with disabilities).
Applicants do not need to be members of the FPBA.
Individuals at any stage of their professional development (including students), are encouraged to apply.
Purpose of Grant
Grant funds are intended to be used for any costs related to an artist’s professional activities: registration/travel for book fairs, classes for professional development/new skills, startup costs to offer workshops or for a new publication, website costs, work documentation, etc.
Priority will be given to:
- Applicants with financial need.
- Proposals that will have a meaningful impact on the applicant’s work.
- Proposals that will allow the applicant to engage directly with the larger book arts community, such as participation in fairs or conferences, taking or teaching classes, etc.
