The latest post over at Bibliophile Bullpen bemoans the decline of useful descriptive copy in booksellers’ catalogues. Clearly here is someone wanting to be sold to. What a shame to let down a buyer at the crucial point of contact: the catalogue. Fine press publishers: would your descriptions in your prospectuses or websites grab this buyer?
