Happy Valentine’s Day from the FPBA … and Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

E.M. Ginger of 42-Line, sends us news that 42-Line has photographed all of the Elizabeth Barrett/Robert browning letters (and accompanying envelopes), and they can be seen here.

From the 42-Line description of Robert Browning’s letter written two hours after their secret marriage ceremony (September 12, 1846):

“…word and gesture, every letter, every silence — you have been entirely perfect to me — I would not change one word, one look – My hope and aim are to preserve this love, not to fall from it….”

Thanks, Ginger! Happy Valentine’s Day!
