Proceed and Be Bold!—award-winning documentary film about letterpress printer Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

The producers of this recent, award-winning film about outspoken letterpress printer Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. are offering preview copies for anyone interested in organizing a screening. 20K Films’ Promotions Manger, Cheryl Laughlin, writes:

PROCEED AND BE BOLD! follows an artist who leaves his secure day job to pursue his passion for art and printmaking. Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. is worth the watch for his often controversial but always insightful thoughts on letterpress and book arts.

The film is a wonderful reminder of going for what you really want in this life and stirring up a few minds along the way.

Through the end of March, I’d like to mail a free DVD (for personal viewing) to anyone interested in organizing a screening or showing at your organization or art theater, college or university in your area. Simply email me at

I’ve attached more information on purchasing, if you decide a screening would work for your organization.

To see the trailer, read more about the film and view Amos’ unique posters, click here:

We’re extremely proud the film has screened at over 24 universities throughout the U.S. Plus, a sold-out showing at the San Francisco Documentary Film Festival and showings at five other film fests.

The director Laura Zinger self-financed this film because she really wanted letterpress and book arts printing to have a voice on film. We truly appreciate you spreading the word and telling people about our film.

The success of this film is made possible by the kindness and support of people like you, who help get the word out on this hidden gem of a film. We hope you’ll find PROCEED AND BE BOLD! as inspiring as we do and want to share it with others.

I look forward to hearing from you and sending a free screener for your help in organizing a showing in your area.

Thanks again!

Cheryl Laughlin
