Linotype’s 125th birthday

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

In July of 1886, the New York Tribune started using Linotypes to set its text. We’ve come full circle, with only a handful of machines left. A group of youngsters has made a film to celebrate it, and hopes to show early versions of it this summer and have a final version by the end of the year. In the meantime, there’s a preview on their blog.
