30 Years of Old Stile Press Archives go to Lilly Library

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

Nicolas and Frances McDowall at the Old Stile Press in Llandogo (north of Bristol) pass on the good news that their archives have been bought by the Lilly Library at Indiana University, Bloomington. Old Stile Press has been publishing limited edition books for 30 years, so the archive will be a considerable record of the press’s activity. The McDowalls indicate the deal was arranged by Julian Rota, of Bertram Rota Booksellers, who have been longtime supporters of the press. You can read the full story on the Old Stile Press blog. Congratulations, Nicolas and Frances! This is an important moment in the history of any press.

Take a minute to ‘flip through’ their most recent publication (From and Almanack, 1726) and find out all about the press and their books (which they’ve been publishing for 30 years) here.
