The Smithsonian Institution Libraries has unveiled a new exhibition that will be of interest to readers of this blog: ‘Picturing Words: The Power of Book Illustration’ showcases some of the world’s greatest pieces of illustration from the Library’ collection of rare books and is on view until Jan. 4, 2010, at the Smithsonian Institution Libraries Gallery at the National Museum of American History.
