$2000 scholarship opportunity from NCC/ABAA

The Northern California Chapter [NCC] of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America [ABAA] has announced that it will fund a $2000 educational scholarship for the summer/fall of 2009.

The scholarship is open to all participants in things bibliophilic, whether as a vocation or avocation, with applicant submissions due by 4 May 2009.  Awardee selection & notification will be completed by 15 May.

This scholarship is intended to contribute funding towards the awardee’s tuition/travel/lodging, Summer/Fall 2009, for one course at any one of the following educational facilities:

  • California Rare Book School (Los Angeles)
  • Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (Colorado Springs)
  • Rare Book School (Charlottesville)

Those interested in applying for the scholarship should send an email to vjz@tavbooks.com for specific application details / scholarship terms, which will be sent, as a Word document attachment, by return email, the dispatch of which will be via group (instead of individual) responses, on Mondays & Fridays, as needed, throughout the application period.
